Every year, hundreds of products are taken off shelves and out of the market
overall due to being too dangerous for safe use. Products can be dangerously
defective due to design, a manufacturing error, lack of instructions given
to the consumer, and so forth. The Consumer Product Safety Commission
(CPSC) is tasked with identifying these defects, or reviewing products
reported as defective by consumers, and creating mandatory recalls in response.
Some recent product recalls you and your family should know about include:
-
Kohler Automatic Transfer Switch: Kohler is a company popularized for providing small generators for homes
and businesses. The company voluntarily recalled some of its automatic
transfer switches, which can fail, overheat, and catch on fire. If you
have such a switch, you should

-
Colorations Red Crayons: Discount School Supply released a box of 200 extra-large crayons under
the product name “Colorations”. The product has been recalled
after glass was discovered in the red crayons, which poses serious laceration
hazards to children. Please

-
Creatology Spinning Kits: Michaels has recalled its Creatology Spin Art kits, which can overheat
and burst into flames. It also recalled a pottery wheel kit that uses
a similar spinning component. The CPSC reports can be seen

Honda Off-Highway Vehicles: American Honda has recalled many of its recreational vehicles due to fire
and burn hazards. The mufflers of certain makes and models can overheat,
