At The Pittman Firm, P.A., we are proud supporters of law enforcement. We encourage everyone to come out to the Panama City Mall parking lot for the ninth annual National Night Out, co-hosted by the Panama City Police Department and the Naval Support Activity Panama City Security Department.
The event is tonight, August 2, 2016, between 5 and 8 P.M. at the Panama City Mall off the State 77. The crime prevention event allows people to come out and meet the local law enforcement, see the equipment these professionals use to keep people safe, and enjoy free hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, and other goodies.
There is expected to be teams from 25 law enforcement and emergency service agencies at the event. This includes the police departments from Panama City, Lynn Haven, Parker, Mexico Beach, Panama City Beach, and Springfield, as well as the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida Highway Patrol, and Coast Guard Station Panama City.
The event will also have a raffle with one person winning a free Power Wheels vehicle donated by the Bay County LEO Wives. F
Last year, thousands of people showed up for the event and were treated to seeing the helicopters and squad cars used by these agencies on a regular basis. Many believe that the night was not just a chance for people to gain a better understanding of the agencies and their line of work, but it was also great to experience another side of law enforcement officers.
We encourage you to check out the event tonight and enjoy a night out with some of the best law enforcement and emergency service agencies out there. It’s fun for the whole family.
