PRISON LIFE IMPROVES FOR NURSES News Herald - February 11, 2007 GREENHEAD A professional life in prison does not have to be one of hard time. Two weeks ago, a federal jury awarded 12 nurses from Washington Correctional Institution between $37,500 and $97,500 each for damages they suffered when prison officials allowed inmates to sexually harass them. The Department of Corrections has not decided whether to appeal the verdict. Three other state prisons face similar lawsuits. |
